THE DOCTOR'S CLUB INC.

OUR Site is dedicated to empowering Black individuals who are interested in a future as

Black physicians.

We believe that through financial support, education and skill development; by providing accessible learning opportunities and introducing Black students to all members of the medical community, our efforts will aid in their preparation towards successful careers as Black Doctors.

Vision

To increase the number of African American Physicians in the US.

Modern research shows that the lack of Black doctors helps explain why about 70% of Black people don’t trust their doctors, and why Black people tend to die younger than their white peers.

Universities are working to boost minority enrollment and increase the likelihood that students will stay in school and pass the exams required to graduate and get licensed to practice.

OUR MISSION:

To increase the number of Black physicians in medicine by introducing Black students to essential tools that will aid them in their preparation for and progress through medical training.

Only about 5.7% of physicians in the United States identify as Black or African American, according to the the latest data from the Association of American Medical Colleges. This statistic does not reflect the communities they serve, as an estimated 12% of the US population is Black or African American.
